i like what felt represents - it's fun, bold, and approachable. perfectly casual and not at all fussy. kids don't need fancy things - but they should have well-made things that inspire creativity. also big on personalization - think it's an easy way to make kids feel super unique and proud.

i don't work from kits or templates, i cut and sew everything by hand. low-tech-central and wouldn't have it any other way. i make catastrophic messes of felt shrapnel most nights on my living room floor.

as a recently single mom, i am ever-grateful to have this creative outlet and hope drfeltgood's products make you and your shorties as happy as they make me to make them. oh wait, that's two too many makes. you see what i'm saying though.

essentially, i own more kids' craft supplies than any non-elementary school teacher with only one kid should own. please help me justify this.

when i'm not being a fake doctor of felt, i'm a graphic designer in massachusetts. obsessed with the red sox, brimming with annoying hometown oregon pride, and exceptionally good at jigsaw puzzles intended for 3-5-year-olds.

to close, a delightful anecdote:

i went to a dance in junior high with a boy who told me i looked nice and asked me if my dress was made of felt. it was velvet. the end.
